Alex Lawrie (Liverpool) called me 2 weeks ago, to inform me that skoda had issued a technical bulletin about defective headlight controllers (I had a porblem with my Automatic lights) and they had orderd my spares. I booked the repair for yesterday.

A member of their staff collected my grotty SM from my home. It was returned 6 hours later, fixed, washed and hoovered. Outstanding service.

It looks good for 6 months old

did they tell you exactly what in fact they did? Change the actual controllers/ballst for each ligt or just some software fix?

rang my dealer with the exhaust system failure problem on my 1.2tsi and they said bring it now done dusted same with the alarm and had my software up date done before the recall letter arrived well happy
