Hi all, i need to remove the ashtray cover in thefront of my car, done the gear surround and radio bits surround in silver, looks good but can't work out how to remove the ashtray cover! Anyone shed any light on this?

was easy to do, but i cant remember, the screws x4 i think, are easy to spot, 2 at bottom in front of gearlever, after gaitor trim is unclipped, and theother 2 are inside the ashtray hole nr top. mind the little lamp holder/bulb.

Yep once you take the ashtray insert out you can get to the two top screws, and the two bottom ones are covered up by the gearstick surround. The screws are all torx ones so you'll need a torx key or torx head screwdriver.

It helps to have the radio surround off when you pull the ashtray out otherwise the open lid gets caught on it.

cheers guys, just been out and found the bolts needed to remove, need to get myself a torx key now, the other two bits are off and spray in the skoda diamond silver metalicto match the paint work, looks pretty good, need to buy clear laquer now to finish it off!
