Hi Everyone,

Just registered following the purchase of my first Skoda - a '56' plate Octavia 2.0TFSi vRS. Car number 31 that I've owned in just under 20 years (!), and come from a Lexus IS200.

Previous VAG cars I've had are: Bora V5, Polo GTi, TT Roadster 150, Bora SE TDi PD, Leon 20VT Cupra, and Altea 2.0TDi Sport!! Oh and the missus had a Polo 16v when I had the TT!

So far liking the vRS very much, apart from the stereo. Anyone got any tips on how to make it sound better - I know I've prob been spoiled by the Lexus but I listen to rock music and the Octavia doesn't seem to be able to handle it.

A while ago, a car parked behind mine decided to spontaneously combust, melting my rear bumper and the outsides of the light clusters, plus scorching the hatchback. The light bulbs themselves weren't damaged and still worked, as did my aftermarket reversing sensor system, none of the wires were melted. I got a garage to replace the bumper, hatchback and light plastics, but I'm having a problem with the "faulty light" detector as, whenever I turn on the lights, the bulb symbol on the instrume

Hi, I hit a deer and now need a left side headlight (part no 5E8941015). I have been let down twice by car breakers in the UK who advertise the item on eBay, but then don't have it. I have found the part I need, with this part number, but it is in the Netherlands. Am I safe buying this, or are parts for left hand drive cars different, even though the number is the same?

Dear Experts , Can anybody advice me what is the part about i.e side airbag or earthing ? This part is located near seat belt tensioner ( passenger front side on pillar of car,) two images are attached for info, image1 from YouTube shows big connector connecting two wires bit unclear picture, 2nd image is taken from my car shows some kind of adapter (843 ) not sure what it is connecting which is different from 1st image , not sure if any connection has been missed out to it is earthi

I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested. I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles. If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!
