HI CAN ANYONE HELP WITH MY REMOTE PROBLEM...BOTH MY REMOTES HAVE GIVEN UP..I BOUGHT MY 54 REG SUPERB WHEN IT WAS 2YR OLD AND THE SPARE 3-BUTTON KEY CAME WITHOUT A BATTERY AND HAS NEVER WORKED LOOKS USED THO..I HAVE BEEN USING THE ORIGINAL KEY FOR 4 YRS AND IT HAS FINALY PACKED UP AFTER EATING A BATTERY A WEEK FOR ALMOST A YEAR.

This is how you do it.

Using a spare key switch the ignition on.

Insert the key to be programmed into the driver's door lock.

Manually lock the driver's door using the key.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob once.

Wait for a least one second.

Press the Lock or Unlock button on the fob twice.

The vehicle horn will sound to indicate correct programming.

This is how you do it.

Dealers charge £50 for that! (I have an invoice in my service documentation)

I know they charge £50 to program a new key which is different than the fob. The key chip needs a code from Skoda and even VW refuse to do this. So if you have a brand new key/fob. You will need both programmmed. Also E-bay is a nightmare with secondhand keys and fobs so stay well clear.

Still waiting for delivery of the fob ..keys should be fine they still start the car ...the guy on E-bay seems reputable all he seems to deal in is new vw factory parts .. But we all know the score E-bay is a chancers market full of regret and dissapointment.

I will post next week let you know how i get on.

Problem solved today!!!.. Returned 1st remote as it was 315mhz got full refund..Bought a oem vw remote from another e.bay guy for a tenner cheaper £19.00 delivered this morning synced to the car in less than 30secs.. vw replacment Part no: 1JO 959 753 DA ..If anyone needs it Thanks for ya help
