Hi Guys,

Sorry if there is already a post about this but i couldnt find it, has anyone had any experience fitting wind/rain deflectors?

Ive managed to get some nice ones from Team Heko, they fit nice and snug in the window channels but now my front windows wont go all the way up atomatically, if i hold my finger down on the window switch then they go all the way up with no probs. Its like a sensor is stopping the windows from going up autmoatically or something?

Never had or wanted wind deflectors, but it sounds like the obstruction detection on your windows is working correctly. Imagine if that deflector was a small child's neck.

yeah I understand that but I have noticed other people have them fitted, I have heard that they can take some time to set. Thanks for your repy.

We have them on both our vRS's..... The one's we have came with little metal clips that prise the gap around the glass out a little so the window goes all the way up ok. I think we have two on each front window and they work fine. Took a little while to get them in the right position.

No probs.... They are a bit fiddly but take your time and you'll get them in the right position eventually.

Ok, i have got the drivers window sorted but the passenger window is having none of it! What an awkward task!

I got the Team Hekones last week. The passenger window goes up fine but the drivers window goes up and then comes back down again!! It's a pain but i'm fixing it tomorrow. They do look the business on a black car though!!

I've got them both working fine now, mine too is a black vrs, I did all four windows.

I have them on all of my cars - I have them front and rear on my VRS and the P/s one went in no problem - but the drivers side one still comes down occassionally!

I think it's with them being tinted they just blend in well on a black car. We have them on both ours (1 Black & 1 silver) and they look really well on both but they're just more subtle on the black car.

I got my Hekos from eternal car on ebay. cost me £32 for all four

Cheers mate.... I got ours from ebay.... They were from a German seller who shipped to anywhere in Europe. Unfortunately i can't remember the seller details as it was a good couple of years ago now.

I have been tempted by some in the past. Just the issue of niggles (as listed above!) has put me off

Think I'd just go for them on the front windows too; they look a bit daft on the backs IMO.

They're adhesive and mount to the door frame rather than in the window channel!

I only had niggles for the first couple of days and strangely only with the passenger front windows on both cars.

As requested earlier..... Pics of the wind deflectors on a silver car.......

I'v had them on both my Fabia's front windows and they came from a firm called Climair. They look great on a black Fabia. Very useful when parked in the sun as you get some ventilation and nobody can easily flick a ciggie stub through the opened window! Also keeps out the unexpected summer shower.

Yeah mine were also from eternal car on eBay, I'm not sure I like the idea of ones that just stick to the door frame though?
