Sunday Detail

Featured Replies

Thought I would give the other halfs car a quick detail before it goes to its new home, she has mine and my VRS arrives!

Started by:

Powerwashed

Wheels sprayed with Megs Wheel Brightner

Rinsed off

Megs APC sprayed on engine bay, door shuts etc and jetted off

Engine coated in AG Rubber and Vinyl Care (forgot to take photo of engine bay)

Car washed with Megs NXT wash and a Lambswool Mitt

Clayed and rinsed off

Spayed with Megs Last Touch and dryed with a drying towel

Polished with AutoGlym SRP

Sealed with AG EGP

Waxed with Collinite 476s

Glass cleaned with Megs Glass Cleaner

Tyres dressed with AG Instant Tyre Dressing

So the quick detail turned into slightl more in the end so didn't get chance to even clean the Bora!

Here are the results:

Cheers for the compliments! Does 80miles a day too! Thats why i used the collinite for durability. Got all my stuff from http://www.shinearama.co.uk/ Expensive initial outlay as I have bought all the trade bulk stuff for the Megs but will literally now last for years as a gallon of wheel cleaner dilutes up to 10:1. I have loads of Autoglym that I have collected over the years!

I had a black Polo and hated every minute of it! Looking forward to the Red!

As for tips, just follow the method above and you can't go wrong. Can't remember what clay I have but the Sonus is good from what I hear, use Megs last touch as a lube.

Just take your time and try not do do in direct sunlight. Having a new garage built soon so that will be my detailing booth!
