hey all

am fairly new to the site but have already found it a big help. i just bought new discs and pads front and rear and have got some good advice regarding this. have some more work to do over the following weeks/months so no doubt will need help with that also!!

anyway amongst other things i was playing with the idea of getting the ECU mapped. would love to hera from anyone who has already done this. ive only come across one company who does this work in Rahnew, wicklow but they specialise in Jap imports so not interested in my mk1 vrs...their loss. they did put me threw to another guy who turned out to be a total ****** so the only time he's coming near my baby is to fill the tank!!

anyway if anyone has experience about mapping or is thinking of it would love to share thoughts on this...maybe get a discount for a few of us who knows?!?

Conor,

Joe remapped my car and couldnt fault joe's Work. I would recommend you register on VAGdrivers.net as he is the resident tuning expert there and you will get a members discount.

On the cailper wind back tool, whats it for as I may have the right size. I work in Ballymount and have all the tools at work

Cathal,

it's always good to have someone recommend a man for the job so will definately give Joe a call as soon as I get these other bits and pieces sorted out.

As for the wind back tool I have to change discs and pads front and rear and was told on various forums that to change the rear pads I need this tool to push the piston in the caliper back to make room for the new (bigger) pad.

had quick look on vagdrivers but not a member yet so will definately get o to that also!!

thanks again for help and advice

Conor
