Wrong Indicator

Featured Replies

Good afternoon all.

I have searched through the forums and I don’t think that anyone else has had this issue (unless i have missed it)

I have an intermittent issue with my indicators. Very occasionally when i indicate right, the left indicators flash.

This happens both when the indicator is full on and when half on (three flashes)

Has anyone else experienced this?

Not really , but I think your best bet is on the one hand to check all electrical connections for corrosion or to replace the indicator switch...

Corrosion doesn't sound like the problem, that normally causes the indicator to flash very quickly. To me it sounds like the indicator switch. I would take a trip down the auto electricians before I went anywhere near the dealer to have it checked out.

Thanks for the advice, if found this on a VW forum http://uk-mkvs.net/forums/t/319352.aspx. Seems like it is quite common. Unfortunately it requires steering wheel removal :( to the garage I guess.
