Is the paint code included in the VIN tag  or is located elsewhere on the car ?

If so , where can it be found ?

Thanks

The paint number is on the Vehicle Data sticker inside the front cover of your car's service Schedule and on a similar sticker under the boot carpet.

The 9th digit of the VIN is a check digit. Wikipedia says it is compulsory only for vehicles built in North America or to be sold there, but some manufacturers use it anyway.

The calculation is explained at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_identification_number

The check digit for my Yeti's VIN checks out, so I guess Skoda do use them.

Mine has F as the 10th digit which I assume now means a 2015 model...built June 2014.
