I have today found out what I have left in my can of paint might "just" be enough for one mirror, but not both I plan to paint.

Too late to order some from Skoda so likely to try a can of Halfrauds stuff..... Anyone ever used it? Any comments on colour match?

I did my grille with it Jase and it's a pretty good match as far as I'm concerned - worth a try if you need it now - it's about £6.99 IIRC

Yeah - not a bad price - I can get the Skoda paint cheaper (slightly), but then also I have a Halfords about 1 mile up the road too.

Will get some Sunday I think.

I have some left in the garage from when I had the Fabia

Have bought a can - only had 300ml cans in, but at £5.99, can't grumble as it is a conveniently local source.

Have emptied out the Skoda can and now debating whether the mirror needs a third coat of metallic black paint..... I think once is has been flattened back a little, and built up the layers of clearcoat with flattening back, it will be fine.

You should not flat metallic paint!

Yeah - have been reading about this recently, so only going to flat after the first lacquer coat has dried off

Use very very fne grade paper for this as the thickness of aerosol paint is next to nothing
