Factory fitted central locking - upgrade to remote

Featured Replies

Hi,

I can't find anything in technical guide section. What parts are required to upgrade factory fitted central locking to remote locking? I assume that a receiver needs to be installed or activated and a key capable of transmitting purchased?

I have VAG-COM so can activate stuff in the ECU. I'd prefer to do this using standard parts, but may use after-market if it's alot cheaper. Thanks

Ross

Aftermarket kits start at around £30, standard about £100 or £150. Not sure of the aftermarket quality.

Something like this http://www.rclick.co...products_id=743 or this http://www.accessori...p_no=BKA400001A should do it.

Theres a guide on here somewhere in the Fabia I section for the cheaper option.
