hi everyone, names lee...ordered myself a new yeti 1.2 tsi s model yesterday in the new platinum grey( replaces steel grey)......went to local dealer yesterday for a nosey,( had many a skoda back in the 80's/90;s) ( estelles, rapid's, favorit,felicia)...ended up having a test drive in a 1.2 se and was blown away, really surprised by the 1.2 low down grunt, cracking ride, great handling, and im currently driving a focus setec, with added sport pack and engine upgrade!!...was tempted by the demo model colour, the browny one beggining with M' lol....anyways thats me, dealer says 16 week wait!!!...cant wait, just spent the last 2 days reading all 27 pages on yeti posts!!

Interesting that you have ordered in new Platinum Grey. I am currently waiting for my 1.2tsi in Steel Grey and was not aware that the colour had been replaced. In the new 1st April 2010 Yeti brochure Steel Grey is still shown with no mention of "Platinum Grey" for any Skoda models on their website.

It looks like the new brochure is already out of date on Yeti colour choice or perhaps the dealer has the colour name mixed-up with "Platine" sold in France which I think translates as Platinum metallic. I though this colour was the same as Steel Grey in UK.

well he showed us the new brochure, and we chose steel grey, he then went into the rear office,came out and said they have replaced it with platinum grey?...so he rewrote the order form platinum grey!!!...he also said its same colour just re-named'...saying that i can find no mention on the net of platinum grey??............ :wonder:

Welcome, Lee! There should be plenty more threads to read and join in with by the time your YETI arrives, time will pass quicker that way!
