Skoda Roof bars or Thule

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought a used Octavia Estate, I'm now wondering whether to go for Skoda roof bars or Thule ? Any suggestions?

Yes, get the cheaper of the two. Another pointer is that if you buy Thule they are fully interchangeable with nay roof rail fitted vehicle, even if it means changing the bars the feet still fit. Having said that the Skoda set may be made by Thule........... and may be cheaper (though I doubt that).

Ps there are other makes too! Halfords have their own brand (made by?) and there is Paddy Hopkirk and Atera to name another couple

Slight Hijack here but has anyone got them for the FL hatch. Can only seem to find the skoda rip off ones. I need some with the T Track on them.

A friend of mine lost four slalom kayaks last year after a Halford's roof rack came loose, so I wouldn't go for cheapest. From what i understand from looking elsewhere Skoda ones are Thule anyway, and cheaper.

I bought my Thule ones from Roofbox (linked above) and am very happy with them. Roofbox also gave good service and a great price.
