Ok folks, hope someone can help me.

Basically I was so desperate to get my hands on VrS, that I bought the only one the dealer had left (tax-free as I'm in Germany, but therefore can't be as choosy at very short notice).

I love the car and am loving the Autobahns more, but as I bought the last Octy in the shop, I got a basic model.....no spare wheel, no reverse sensors but a great Bolero stereo and speakers, but no Bluetooth, which I can live without for a while, but....

does anyone know how to fit bluetooth, or can I get it retro fitted at my local German dealer.

Many thanks for any help, and next year maybe I'll order it with more than 2 weeks notice.

You don't need the MFSW from what I recall...you can use the Bolero touchscreen and Phone button too....

I have MFSW but as posted above, you dont need it. The Bolero can control it all.

You must have maxidot to be able to pair it!

What is the useability/functionality like of the Fiscon? Also if you spec the factory unit on a VRS but do not have DSG (so no multi function steering wheel) does it only work through maxidot or can it also still use voice recognition?

Do both these systems have voice recognition? If so how does it work? Do you have to program in tags for each contact? I have a Bury system in my current Octavia and I just have to say a contacts name and it finds it with no programming or tagging.

Just trying to see if one of these is better than my current system hence which one to go for in my new VRS. What is the sound quality like for both of the above systems?

The Fiscon works with a manual trans (no steering wheel controls) and a Bolero. You do need the Maxidot display I believe (they are standard here).

There is no voice dialling function with the Fiscon. All dialling is controlled via the Bolero touch screen. When you select the phone button on the Bolero you get a screen with up to 6 favourite numbers displayed or you can select the phone book and scroll through it until you find who you want. The Fiscon also works with iPhones unlike the factory Bluetooth.

You can set up the Fiscon to use the Maxidot display and windscreen wiper stalk but imo it's to much of a hassle so I stick with the Bolero touch screen.
