Speed camera detection help

Featured Replies

Anyone know of a radar / accident blackspot detector that combines Sat Nav with the gps for camera locations. Thought it would be better all in one unit.

origin blue is meant to have the option to be attached to sat nav. You could go the other way and get a sat nav system that can tell you where the speed traps are.

IPAQ with TomTom & Trafcam.

Works very well :)

I thought it was tom tom but I couldn't remember the other programme.

As said about as it would probably be cheaper than going down the GPS trap/sat nav

Trafcam costs, CheckPoint is FREE (for Tomtom2 & 3) and the database is FREE too (http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php).

If you want radar and GPS, yes, some of those expensive  units output a GPS signal (via a serial port), so you just have to get the right PDA cable (and Tomtom etc) and you can have the best of both worlds (Radar detecting and fixed GPS database ;) )

Try this place http://www.gpsw.co.uk/ for cables

Look at Dell or Asus for PDA's (expansys has some particularly cheap ones,
