Hello,

I've swapped engines in my Octy (still AUQ) and had my ecu flashed back to standard. All ready to go this weekend, engine turns over nicely, but doesn't want to know. Fuel pressure appears to be present, but injectors are remaining dry.

To me this suggests immobiliser issues, maybe because of the ECU flash. Will contact JKM in the morning to see if they have any ideas, but guess I need to see what codes may be coming up - the equipment for which I don't have. Any ideas/help much appreciated

Assistance no longer needed, I've sorted the problem.

Was to do with the immobiliser, but not what I'd expected.

Had a brainwave last night while trying to go to sleep, so thought I'd go check it out this morning before work. Five minutes later, car started after a couple of seconds of cranking

Problem lay with the boot lid

Previously I'd swapped boot lids for a standard yellow one (without WRC wing). Because engine was out at the time, I'd left the job of connecting all the wiring up til later. Thought last night that maybe the car is too clever for its own good and thinks that its been broken into with no connection for the boot lock. Plugged it in this morning, and hey presto, it started!

Yes, but there are at least 2 versions and I don't know which I have.

I read that if I upgrade my columbus fw that without the right gateway it will cause the battery to go flat.

I'd like to use the VCDS to get a definitive answer to what versions I have.

Any help appreciated.
