He drove into my wheel, side on!

Featured Replies

oing round a famous small roundabout with seven.... yes seven  exits on tuesday night, and some foot heavy g*t drove straight into the back of my car! Thankfully i was leaving the roundabout and it was his fault which he admitted... nice

Only a tiny bit of denting to the edge of the small bumper section. Getting previously scratched alloy refurbished  and new bumper with a spray of the surrounding area. All sounds well :o

Oh no... the gemoetric testing showed that the wheel had a negative camber (more than usual) bu*^er  Got to take it in to get some parts replaced to straighten it out. Get a cra*py courtesy car for a week though.

He let me drive it out for a week til its booked in and even though i told him id do about 1000 miles he said it would be fine as the wheel it effects needs to be changed anyway so no loss of tread.

My question is, after all that  does this not affect both sides of the car as they are not seperate like he focus are they?

Also they are strong little buggers (furby vRS), got hit quite hard, thought the wheel would be a lot worse.

23k miles only a small squeek from a dry mount on the gear box, solved with grease and still going strong, this is the best all round car i have ever driven.

thats not very good news Alex,at least you have found the problem early and not down the line when your wondering why your tyre was wearing funny.
