i have bought an mdi to fit to my octavia in the coming weeks and i was wondering where these are fitted as standard? i work on vag cars, but have never seen one on an octy, i would guess at either in the glovebox or the jumbo box................. pictures would be welcome, cheers lads............

There are 2 retrofit kits, one goes into the glovebox and the other needs some work to fit. The glovebox one is the common one for retrofit. I believe that if fitted in the factory you lose the use of the centre armrest as the unit is fitted there.

The socket is found in the glovebox on the RHS at the bottom & to the rear. Well that's where mine is anyway.

i have bought the mdi with a black rectanguler box that the ipod lead fits into( under the armrest on a mk6 golf) i was hoping that i could fit it there. any pictures? :yes:
