Just taken delivery of my new Fabia Greenline. I bought it for the economy as I do at least 500 miles a week. Previous cars were a 1.2 Fabia HTP and before that a 1,4 MPI.

Just finishing the first tank of fuel. Its pretty good mpg despite doing motorway speeds. Someone told me the mpg gets better as they loosen up a lot over time

Having to relearn how to drive. It has one hell of a long gearbox. Below about 45 you have to be in 3rd, Dont even think of changing in to 5th unless your nearer 60-65.

Does more mpg in fourth if your under 60 !! Need to keep the rpm over 1800 to stop it from sounding like its labouring.

All in all very pleased so far. Would welcome other Fabia Greenline owners thoughts and driving hints !
