Hello to all you lot.

I am not currently the owner of a Skoda having defected to Audi! Sorry, just a temporary abberation I'm sure.

But I have owned a Fabia Vrs before (bloody brialliant little car) and on the strength of that my son has one now.

He's away in Afghan at present leaving Dad to sort out a few niggles on his car and his motorbike.

(The bike is a separate question on a separate forum)

He needs an 80k service, which looks straight forwards, and a cam belt change, which hopefully is also.

Anyone got any tips or snags to look out for (apart from the obvious)?

Any ways to make it easier and anything I don't want to do when the shops are shut?
