Boot locking problems on my VRs

Featured Replies

Hi all. Today i loaded up my babys buggy into the boot, went to close the boot down and it didnt shut right, only half shut. I opened it again and tried to close it and it only half shut again making a different noise than usual (and now jammed in this position!). Nothing is trapped in the lock from the buggy as i managed to get the buggy base out by flattening the rear passenger seats and opening the rear passenger doors.

I have taken the plastic cover off which sits over the boot locking mechanism. Something does not look rite at all.Something looks to be missing and something looks to be moved and damaged as i tried to slam the boot shut the second time (I might have caused damage with the force of trying to close it).

Im looking for a kind person to post a pic of their MK1 VRs locking mechanism for me so i can compare it to my mess and try yo figure out what has happened??

Big thanks in advance!!!
