Legal or not?

Featured Replies

I know this might sound really stupid but are the Phillips blue vision bulbs legal or not.Im considering them for my main and dipped beam. Also have they got a blue look to them or do they just give a more white light?

They are legal - they just have a blue tint, they're not actually blue so you won't get any problems with "impersonating a police officer"... ;)

I believe the blue tint is supposed to improve visibility in fog/rain.

Thanks Rob.When i was buying them phillips claimed they had the ultimate zenon look.Do they look like zenons or are they just brighter normal lights.

the only lights your not allowed to have on the front of the car are redlights. Even those annoying chav wiper jet lights are allowed, as they aren't even covered on MOTs.

I dunno if I'd go so far as to say that. They are better than standard ones though.
