Hello again,

Just quickly, anyone know what size the standard front speakers are? Mine have been replaced with some 2way Pioneers which are;

a) too small

b ) held in with one screw

and c) 2 way meaning i have 4 tweeters up front - tinitus anyone?

Careful on the depth - you need pretty shallow speakers to fit properly.

well. you can modify it to fit deeper ones by chopping a bit of the skin away, or bending it back

I easily fit some Magnat Dark Power 165mm in diameter and 56mm depth

I thought they were 170mm as this was a European standard? I'm interested as I intend to buy some pioneer TS-E170Ci component speakers (170mm) and I have read from multiple sources that these are the correct diameter. Also does anyone know if these speakers are shallow enough to fit?

i was thinking the same question today. beat me to it

Pioneer don't seem to supply a technical drawing of the speakers so I'm tempted just to buy some and return them if they don't fit. Just annoying as I would lose the return postage. Has anyone heard either the TS-E170ci or TS-A170Ci as I'm wondering whether the E170s are worth the extra £30?
