Hi, Thinking about getting the 1.9 Tdi SE Octavia - has anybody had any problems with them? or have any better suggestions? I'm on a bit of a limited budget though so nothing too expensive would be great!

Need to get in quick if you're after a new one as they don't do this engine to order any more - you're restricted to what's left in stock.

Great car, no problems with my Elegance version in 3 years.

If you look for a used one, check the usual things as Turbo, Clutch, Flawheel-shudder etc.....

Good choice, great engine in my view.
