Thanks for the speedy reply. I'll try that when i get a break from exams

I borrowed my mums little handheld steam cleaner thing, quick and easy, spray and wipe off, if you can get hold of one!

I found a loose stanley knife blade was an effective scraper of all the little bits.

try petrol and a rag

nail varnish remover or similar

With most tint glues you'l struggle to find anything that lifts it, most will just melt and smear the glue all over the window. Best thing is a square blade and you get the holders for them and just use soapy water and scrape it, lifts it no problem. I took my mates off for him and we had the problem of the glue, ideally you should heat the film up before you peal it and that helps it take the glue with it. Just watch if its the back heated glass though because if you scrape it you might scrape the heating element and damage it in bits. Local tint place said theres not much that removes it other than a blade, but gave me the advice for watching the back glass. Hope it helps

Thanks, it is the heated rear screen. I dont wanna damage it, although i found the wire bit that connected to the screen had become unbonded.

@ Bennet, i ran a "heat gun" over the screen for 5 mins on the hottest setting, then i tackled the task. The result was that first a clear film came off, then the tint itself, but it was bubbled so badly that the tint kept tearing when it got to a bubble (which was approximately every 1-2 cm)
