I had a quote from webuyanycar for just under £7K. That's pretty much in line what Parkers and Glass's say for a part ex valuation (07 reg, 28K miles). I haven't actually traded mine in, because of issues with getting the car I want (one of which being that I can't really afford it yet!).

I was in Simpsons in Colne 3 weeks ago, they have a vRS SE in with 29000 miles on the clock.

The price WAS £9995 within an hour it had gone up to £10995

I was at the BCA Auction in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, and a slightly scruffy looking silver '07 plate with about 30,000miles went through for £7,300 (plus buyers fees whatever they come to)

Went down to skoda a few weeks ago and they said they'd give me £5,500 with 65,000 on it, bought it last year for 4.5with 58,000.

We had an offer for a part ex against a new octy vRS of £5800 about a month ago. That was for our 07 vRS ltd ed. with 60k on the clock.

Depending on the condition of course but daylight robbery. They'll have it up for £8500 at least.

That's why I politely told them thanks, but no thanks. (I was a little less polite when telling SWMBO on the way home though!)

back in January we were offered 8700 for my 07 SE with 36k on the clock, but w've kept hold of it.

Just been looking on the Skoda used car web site where i found my car 2 months ago, i paid £9,995 for my Fabia vRS SE from Mitchell Skoda Cheshire Oaks. At the time i got my car the dealer in Mansfield had 3 SE's in stock, none of which were more than £9,995, one only had 17,000m on the clock, my vRS SE only had 22,500m on it and what made me get this one was, the fact it had a sun roof and was a lot closer to get to. Anyway prices certainly seemed to have leapt up in Preston as they have 3 SE's in stock ( 22,500m,/34,000m,/44,000m) all at £10,995, odd that. Manchester has 1 with 40,000m on the clock for £9,490 and Mansfield 1 with 34,000m for £9,890. Must be something coming off in Preston that's wacking the prices up there. But got to say this is the best car i've had, just for the sheer enjoyment of driving it, worth every pound of £9,995...... :D

I have been offered £7000 buy 2 garages for my 07 vrs se with 40000 miles i guess this is quite fare.

This means a retained value of 54% over 3 years.

Thinking of changing to an Altea Freetrack 4 , any opinons on this car ( i am sorry its not a skoda)

Yes they are. I have been looking for one for weeks nearby, using autotrader and pistonheads, but theyre usually gone or owners want a daft price for modded/tatty ones.

Found one in the end a few weeks ago for 4500 ,wanted 5k but i pointed out it needed and service and cambelt so took in there and then for 4.5k. this was an 04 plate on 80k and otherwise in great nick.

TBh the prices of all diesels have gone up especially skodas as i was looking at superb or octavias, seems just being a skoda is not reason for it to be really cheap anymore.

Just browsed through E.Bay classified for any Fabia VRS for sale.

Prices range from £4000 for a 2003 to £8000 for a 2007, add another £999 for 2007 SE Fabia VRS.

Obviously age/ mileage/ condition would play a part, but fairly safe to say lost £3000 to £7000 since new.
