Audi flat bottom steering wheel

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it would be possible to retro fit one of these to the Octy?

TBH the VW ones look better, from what I've seen of the Audi versions.

I think they'd look out of place in an Octavia

speak to shark_90 think he has done a few steering wheel swaps

Unfortunately not, the airbags are different and incompatible.

Golf Mk VI wheel on my Octavia pre-FL.

The wheel's perfect, but that VW logo spoils it completely....the retrofitment can be seen at the first glance which is not the way it should be for me....

Great job anyway !

If you'd been at the VAG show at Elsecar last weekend and seen Porsche and Lamborghini wheels on Golfs, a VW steering wheel on a Skoda is feck all....................IMHO

I wanted paddles on my pre-facelift vRS, and the only way (at the moment) it can be retro-fitted is to use a VW wheel, so it was a case of function over form for me.

As it happens it's been a bit of a Godsend, as I think the VW flat-bottom wheel looks a king to the facelift vRS wheel

Thanks Ben, that looks great..always felt that my car was lacking a MFSW and the bluetooth can be a bit akward to use via the stalk some times.

Bummer!! I pressume the Golf wheel hasn't got the flat bottom then?

Yes there are Golf flat bottom wheels :)

Over here they wanted Aus$800 (487 pounds) for a flat bottom wheel as an extra on the S3. Unfortunately for them every car in the country that was available had one fitted so we told them to get nicked and ended up not paying the extortionate price. In fact we paid nothing extra.

In that case it is perfectly understandable....

will the airbag on a VRS fit the golf flatbottomed steering wheel ??

Nope - if it had I'd have probably used it - it's a different shape I'm afraid

that means a steering wheel and a airbag, it's getting expensive now, may just stick with what i have
