You can find a switched +ve feed on the fuse box - behind the o/s end dash panel. The fuse box is secured by 2 torx head screws, one at top & bottom.

You can identify a wire (can't remember colour) that is live when ign switched on and with engine running, but not when key off. I cut the insulation off hte wire a bit further back from the fuse box, then twisted a wire on and soldered/insulated the connection.

It's easier to do this by dropping the o/s underdash panel:

Remove the coloured trim strips carefully - they just unclip - this will reveal the torx head screws that hold the top.

Remove the light switch - turn it off, push in anticlockwise and then it simmply pulls out.

There is also a screw lower down.

You will probably need to remove the OBD port as the wiring is very short - this unclips; insert a small screwdriver in the space above and blow port skt to release the clips.

Just remembered - I should mention that it is not possible to find a feed that stays on with the "key in" position - unless you use a CAN bus adaptor.
