A little worried

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Just reattached my engine undertray on my furby vrs and noticed a lot of oil on the lower intercooler pipe, I replaced my egr about 10k ago as it was spewing oil everywhere however the oil on the pipe seems to be pretty fresh and has not become thick as I would have though through the heat of the engine I have checked the filler cap and my egr again but there is no ol present on both, just a little worried at the mo any ideas anyone???

Cheers chaps x

I think it's normal, there will always be some oil on the intake side of the engine from the crankcase breather system. It just pools at the lowest point, that being the bottom intercooler hose. Mine does exactly the same even after replacing all the pipework seals. HTH.
