I have just had a message from the new owner of my old Dragon Tuning box. For some reason it kepts putting his car into limp home mode until he removes the unit. Then car goes back to normal until he tries to reconnect it. He also isnt seeing any difference in power. But I saw a noticeable increase when if was fitted to my car.

Could the unit be faulty? Its one of the single selector non-digital ones - plugs into the end of the fuel rail and then to the original wiring with a connector to the earth and live.

Any ideas??

Anything is possible. He may not have installed it properly (most likely), he could have other mods that are interfering with it, he could have fused the unit. It could be almost anything really. Unless you install it yourself, you'll never really know.
