I have finally found a DSG to test drive, and will be doing so later on today.

So far I have spoken to 5 dealers, obviously all of whome want my business. I know what hte DTD price is.

My plan is to test drive the car, and then this evening send out an email to each of the dealers I have spoken to (Blind copying each one) to give them the exact spec, and be open with them as to what I am doing - telling them that I am sending out 5 emails, but not telling them who to -.

I will advise them that whoever comes back with teh best price/finance package will win the business.

Do you think this will work?

The difference between list and DTD is about 1k.

Don't think that will make you popular.

Personally I'd pick the dealer you like and ask them to match the DTD price.

Tell them you have other dealers you will be talking to if they can't as they are the preferred dealer and also are willing to use DTD.

It is usually helped by pointing out that if they can match it you will sign up now.

Just BCC each dealer, but don't say you're looking elsewhere.
