Fiscon bluetooth

Featured Replies

Readers may like to read a personal experience of fitting the Fiscon Buetooth Plus to a November 2009 Octavia Elegance. The trim and Bolero radio come out very easily using a small screwdriver to lift the trim and the Bolero then comes out using a tox driver on four screws. The area behind the radio is just not quite enough to contain the new plug and socket. The top pocket and heater openings also come off easily so that the radio well becomes visible. The aerial lead is attached to the existing loom by a fabric winding. If this is unwound about five inches and the new provided 'loom' fitted, the radio can then be re-inserted again and the new 'loom' pushed carefully into the void on the right side of the radio well from the top pocket space (the reason for unwinding the aerial now become obvious). The new loom just fits neatly over the well sides with the plug and socket now on the right side of the radio well. The top pocket and trim can then be refitted. Fiscon provide details of the code changes and my dealer didn't seem to know what to do - 'just book it in next week and we'll have a look' . My salesman, bless his heart, advised me to go to Sextons in Wandsworth, who set the whole thing up in less than half an hour. The system is now operational from the MFD control or the radio (they charged 1/2 hr labour for the privilege of working on my vehicle).
