I worried between the leather /alcantara option. I opted for alcantara only to avoid the only rather light shaded leather option. I was VERY pleased that I did. There is still plenty of (black ) leather around for effect and style and the alcantara inserts are very classy and very comfortable indeed - I think much more comfortable than all leather. So no hindsight for me - I would go for this option if I ordered again. I think my 1.8TSI L&K (DSG) is an absolute delight - you will enjoy yours (DSG or not). Pipes and slippers or not (and yes that IS me) the 1.8TSI has a fantastic punch and I'll bet there is very little difference between it and an unmodified VRS if it came to flooring the right pedal (especially with DSG) I've only done that on a couple of occasions so far (between pipe puffs) when overtaking and things happened so quickly I wondered if the vehicle I had overtaken was travelling rapidly in reverse.

Hi I'm with Jrayworth on that, alcantara option much better than all leather, some say it may be a bit too oppresive being all black but the headlining is light grey so that overcomes that. Also you get black inserts on the door capping which looks much better than the light grey inserts when you go for light grey leather option.

Good choice I think you will enjoy.

I have just ordered my L&K with Alcantara.

You might think this is Mad, but I dont like leather, but by the time I spec'd hte Elegnace there was so little in it.

I have driven past a few L&K full leather, and I just dont like the colour of the leather.

I added a few bits and pieces including a sunroof. I have driven a car with either a sunroof or panoramic roof for years, so I didnt want not to have glass.

Now I just have to wait.

Alcantara here too.

Get alcantara, sunroof, front parking sensors (really, really handy), tyre pressure monitor ( doesn't come on L+K as standard, you want it, especially since they don't come with spare these days, so you want to know about pressure loss before you shred the tyre to pieces). If you do a lot of driving on the continent get daylight running lights. My L+K is black, so sunset glass was a must too.

Hi Von.

My spec is nearly the same as yours.

I ordered the roof as per above post.

How did you sort daylight running lights. Are these the LED's that you now see on teh Vrs. I did not see that as an option.

I also got hte MFSW as I need bluetooth.

Did not bother with the tyre sensors. The reason is, on my 407 they are so sensitive that whenever I had a trye changed, I had days of going back to a petrol station to sort it.

I also got hte FS wheel as I came to the conclusion that if you got a puncture and used the repair kit, the tyre is ruined. I have had a number of punctures that have been repaired, and £55.00 is a lot less than the £120 or so for a new tyre.

They were not an option on earlier FL so my L+K regretably doesn't have them, but rumour has it, from week 22 it should be option "Available on all models" - I believe they will come as separate filaments in fog lights. Apparently, there is a current DLR option for FL, which was missing in UK but programmed in as option in many other European countries that already have daylight lights legislation (fogs are activated at half the brightness or something to that effect) and it can be activated via VCDS.

I also got hte MFSW as I need bluetooth.

Got MFSW and bluetooth too, but it's completely useless as it use rSAP, which is phased out in most new phones with android or other linux flavours. I was very disappointed when the system found my Motorola Milestone and announced "your phone is not compatible" ...

My cunning plan is to buy the proper spare next time I'm on the continent, initial quote for matching Cepeus alloy with a no name tyre and jack is about £150...

One of the things I made sure was that the iphone will be compatible from week 22.

I dont htink my car will be built much soon before about week 30.

Heard from my delaer that my car will be here this week!! Fantastic.:rofl:

I ordered it on 3 march and was given build week 16, and now it is nearly here.

Its an L&K 2.0TDi PD estate in blue with a manual box, FS spare wheel, silver roof rails, dog guard and boot tray.

Cant wait to get it.

I thought that until yesterday. I had a false alarm on the tyre sensors after about 3 weeks. Yesterday it went again and like you I thought this was going to be a continuing nuisance saga. I carried on home without checking but on arrival after letting the tyres cool I decided to check them. And yes - one was significantly down. Don't know why - may be a slow puncture but at least I know to keep a look out for that tyre. I'm now glad I chose that option.
