R32 / GTi Sideskirts

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone fitted the sideskirts from the Mk5 Golf GTi or R32 to their octy. It's a mod i've been considering for some time now so if anyone has done it and wants to share their thoughts (and post some pics of course)

thanks

Gary

Not fitted them, but I did call up a VW dealer to find the prices. The textured GTI ones are cheap as chips (you don't want them though) but the R32 ones in primer are crazily expensive. I've heard mixed reports about them fitting properly. This bloke has apparently done it though. I like them.

Cheers for the link, they do look make the car look better IMO.

So, when you say crazily expensive for the R32 ones, how much are we talking about?

Really can't remember sorry. But it was something in the ballpark of a couple of hundred. Maybe even 300 or more. It was a lot.

As I recall they don't fit. I looked into this a while back and the length was wrong and the 'shark fin' that kicks up just ahead of the rear wheel arch was too wide.
