Hi thanks for the information so far on the water ingress problem, didn,t think I had this problem as carpet bone dry but after lifting carpet found out that I did. Have fixed and resoldered 4 lots of conectors and know all interior lights etc work but still cannot open O-S-R door. It won't Unlock off remote and when I pull handle inside the silver button comes up but goes back down as soon as I release the handle and the door will not open - Any Suggestions would be greatfully appreaciated - Please.

That happened on mine. Knowledgeable mechanic checked, cleaned and remade connections under the carpet but to no avail. Needed a new door lock as the motor had failed on the bit that allows the door to lock remotely. New lock was around £75, but it's not a job for the faint hearted as it involves smashing off part of the existing lock to enable the door to open so that you can unscrew the lock and replace it. Also required the door trim panels to come off to enable access for the long screwdriver / chisel.

I was glad I wasn't doing it .....
