Disconnecting battery ?

Featured Replies

:S Will there be any problems if I need to disconnect the battery to be able to work on the electrics ? :o

Disconnecting the negative terminal seems to have no effect on my car if that's any help...

YOu will possibly get a PAS light on after you reconnect but driving the car for a quarter of a mile on a straighish road should have it go off.

Hopefully not as long as it's coded in the ECU,but try and find the key for it before you do just in case.

Otherwise it's a trip to the dealers.

The radio is coded to the dashboard instruments AFAIK. I've completely removed my stream radio and plugged it back in and I've never been asked for a code for it. It's an issue if you change the radio or the instrument panel.
