I don't know if this is just me being paranoid or overly cynical but has anyone wondered how come some people's new cars are at the UK ports for sometimes 2 or even 3 weeks at a time. The logical part of me thinks its to do with keeping cars until there are enough to warrant sending a delivery truck off to dealers, the other part of me however fears that this delay is due to vehicles needing repair work as they come off the boat.

Anyone else thought about this, or has the wait for my new vRS driven me slightly insane:giggle:

I waited just over 2 weeks. Got it yesterday. Haven't found any dent repairs yet - touch wood.

Mine arrived with a 1cm scuff mark on the bottom of the spare wheel well. Only visible when the car's jacked up on axle stands but the fact it's through to the metal (rust proofing punctured) concerned me. Dab of Waxoyl for peace of mind.

I guess that would happen loading / unloading from a transporter or something like that.
