why is it that when ever i have some new tyres fitted i come backed with a scratched alloy and you always notice it once you are home

does anyone know where to get a touch up pen for alloy wheels or where have you managed to get some paint from ie code etc

In the past, when I had to touch up a scratch on an alloy, I found that MG Rover's Starlight Silver was a very good match, and as far as I know this paint can still be sourced in touch up kits. Try www.thescratchdoctor.co.uk

Nuts! They scratched them? - they fix them. On my last Octy I had bad scratches left on 3 out of 4 wheels I'd had re-tyred. They were "circular" scratches on the "spokes", parallel with the rim and it was obvious the equipment had done it.

The manager got down a refurb guy from another town, gave me a courtesy car for the day the refurb was being done, and the results were very good - all looked brand new.
