Octavia Bolero

Featured Replies

I have just taken delivery of Octavia 2.0 TDI Elegence (May 2010) with Bolero with Bluetooth.

My current phone Sony Ericcson W205 connects and downloads the phone book but all the names come up as garbage on the Display.

I have updated the phone to the latest software and tried making my phone book with simple names (no non alpha-neumeric characters) and setting my phone to use SIM phone book only but still no joy.

Is there a list of fully compatible bluetooth phones anywhere.

thanks jdc0406

Do you know which model of Bluetooth you got with your car? Is it GSM II or GSM III.

The bluetooth module is not in the Bolero, just controlled by it and the list that Skoda gave in the mainland UK brochure was wrong so I wouldn't trust any list that Skoda give you...

It is GSMII

GSM II just uses the standard handsfree profile so I would expect most phones to work with it. I've not had a Sony Ericcson since my T68 though so I'm not sure what they're like with handsfree although I've a couple of colleagues with them and I've not heard complaints from them about the phone with the handsfree (not VAG group cars though)

Is there an option to set the bluetooth in the car to a factory reset and start again?

I have reset many times but still no good.

I have tried my wife's Samsung Tocco Lite and that works perfectly.

I might just have to change the phone.

Thanks for your help.

I would be suprised if its GSMII my I took delivery of my elegance 2 weeks ago and its GSMIII. My Nokia 5800 works perfect as does my wifes Nokia E52

The Irish market doesn't have the same options as the UK market... I knew last year the Republic of Ireland had the GSMII but didn't know if they had changed to be the same as us which was why I was asking
