FELICIA CLUTCH

Featured Replies

Hi,

The clutch on my 1997 Felicia 1.3mpi is right on top of the pedal, can this be adjusted or am i looking at replacing it?

If i have to replace the clutch, can anyone advise me on the best place to purchase one.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Cable can be adjusted, you need a 10mm spanner, and you can see the cable adjuster easily enough under the bonnet.

For clutches, previously the cheapest was Jorily when I bought one last.

if its already at the top of the pedal then adjusting the cable will just make it slip tbh... another vote for jorily from me too.. I used to get sachs clutch kits from my local motor factor but they have more or less doubled in price since the last time i bought one

If the clutch pedal is really high, it likely means the clutch plate is worn, which may also mean the flywheel has grooves scored in from the clutch plate rivets. if this is the case you will want to get the flywheel re-faced. Mine cost £280 for my local garage to change including £30 re-surfacing of the flywheel.

if the rivets from the clutch plate were touching the flywheel surface you would know about it!!! :wonder: it would make a hell of a racket.. but it is a good idea to get the flywheel skimmed when fitting a new clutch anyway
