My cars got a cold..........

Featured Replies

Well, thanks to Juego, i've chanced apon an induction kit

Was planning on putting a "performance" panel filter into the standard airbox but thought i'd give this a try too.

1st off, i ran the kit WITHOUT the bottom half of the airbox and cold air feed pipe (mmmmmm hot air :( lol) ran ok but felt sluggish and on inspection, the filter was very hot. Decided then to re-attatch the cold air feed, not much difference and just as hot, as i thought it would be.

Put the bottom part of the airbox back in with the cold air feed still attached. Tested this method and found the induction kit to be alot cooler and getting a better cold air feed from the standard airbox

Been running it now for a few days and found it to be a little more responsive, deeper noise and have also discovered the induction kit is giving off a "dump valve" type nosie  Funny watching peoples faces as a "taxi" goes past dumping air as it goes

Heres some pics.............

Couldn't resist this lol............i really need to stay off ebay :D

How the setup looks now.

A wee close up. The vac pipe from the top part of the airbox has been put into the new pipework. I'm also going to see about a "shield" of some description to help keep the cone cooler...........

Sits low enough in the airbox, but if i can get another bottom part then i'll put the cone deeper into the airbox.

Dont know how long i'll keep this setup, change my mind all the time lol

Haha, I need to check out YouTube for a hippo fart and then see how accurate your description is

I need that sticker, haha I love it. So many cars driving around with the ring sticker on their cars, some of them probably don't even know where it is :D
