I can't fill my 64gb iPad

Your making the mistake a lot of people make ( including myself at first ) in comparing it to a netbook which is not what it is trying to be.

I thought a netbook was exactly what it was intended to be, i.e. a 'Book' for reading the 'net on.

I think it's traditional netbooks that are mis-named. They should be called 'small laptops'. :)

I've never been a fan of any apple product so far. In my experience their software has always been very restrictive and bloated.

I can't think of any product they've released that doesn't have a better quality, non-apple counterpart elsewhere on the market. The worst offender was the iPod, and iPhones come a very close second. Who releases a camera phone without a flash these days? People say "ahhh but you can get thousands of apps for the iPhone" .... Nokia have had apps for 5+ years now. Macs crash just as often as PC's too. Dunno, just seems apple products are rather ... fashionable at present?

To be fair to Carl and his iPad. Carl seems like a decent enough chap and I don't own an iPad myself ... so don't take this as a personal dig at you fella. Just my experience of apple stuff. The thing is, if you criticise an iPhone, people don't half get upset! :D

The one thing I could see myself using an iPad for is to read e-books. That's a cracking idea. Take your library with you where ever you go. It's about the same size as a book so it's familiar. The fact you can navigate websites using your fingers is a little more intuitive too, that's a nice touch. So it does have a few good points, just not sure I'd want to get stung on the price. Each to their own I guess.

As for what to fill it with .... has to be porn. You're married now right? Give it 6 months and you'll need more storage I reckon. :p

Don't worry not taking anything personal

That is the only part of your post that is not true. I have been using Mac's for nearly 2 years now and never had one crash on me. In the same period of time my windows laptop crashed about every 3 months for one thing or another.

I do think the iPhone has it's drawbacks. HOWEVER every one goes on about flash. There is NO mobile version of Flash so they are actually running software designed for a computer. This is one of the reasons behind Apple not allowing it as it is far too power hungry and vulnerable

There is more to life than Porn and being in the forces i can always get my hands on stuff :giggle:;)

errrrr Carl ... "a flash". Not "Flash".

As for Macs and PC's crashing. I'll admit my pc crashes about once a month but then again I hack stuff, edit registry settings and tax it very heavily. Mine is going to crash if we're honest. Laptop is stable enough though. Just my experience of macs, which isn't too extensive. They've crashed on me, probably more than some pc's would .... then again that could just be me subconsciously willing it, "I'm tired of Mac owners looking down their noses at me, go on you little f***er, crash and prove me right!" :D

As for being in the forces and porn, that's what your flak vest is for you fool. Did you really think it was for ceramic inserts? Nah, Razzle! If the same copy has been passed around your troop for a week, once it's dried it'll probably be better protection than ceramic plates anyhow.
