Immobilised fabia 1.9tdi elegance

Featured Replies

I asked for some ideas on the forum last September.

Just in case anyone has similar problems. The car would not start even though the engine was spinning on the starter.

With some telephone advice from my local brilliant Skoda garage after it stranded me at work, a sharp thump over the steering wheel area of the dash panel and she started.

Obviously this type of fault wouldn't occur now it was at the garage, they never do!

They changed the main starter relay which is situated behind the instruments in the area where I thumped.

No problems since. Apparently this relay has other functions as well.

Love it.

actually might come in handy for us one day!
