columbus voice control

Featured Replies

Hello

I ran a new 4 core cable between the Bluetooth unit and the head unit. I then made the following changes to the wiring:

Pin 7 (White wire from Green connector on HU) was connected to the wire from pin 11 on the BT unit.

Pin 1 (Brown wire from Green connector on HU) was connected to the wire from pin 12 on the BT unit.

Pin 9 (Green wire from Green connector on HU) was connected to pin 11 on the BT unit.

Pin 4 (Black wire from Green connector on HU) was connected to pin 12 on the BT unit.

Hope this makes some sense.

Cheers

Liam.

Ok think I get you just to confirm. Have you run the Mic to the green connector on HU pins 1 & 7. Then out of HU 4 & 9 mic +,- out to the BT unit pins 11 and 12?

I'm lost on why my BT is working with the mic connect to 6 & 12 on the green connector there are no other wires on this currently. Then the main BT cable runs form the HU to the BT unit.

Cheers Liam will have a little play about with it.

If I push the voice command button this activates its just the women cant hear me, does this mean I already have voice command activated and I dont need to turn it on via VCDS?

You can try anything you like....

Just be aware that you may need to try with the (whatever type/make of) mic connected the otherway around.
