Greetings from new Skoda owner in West Sussex

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have just purchased a 2007 Octavia II 2.0 TDi (140PS) 4x4 estate in silver and can't wait to take delivery in 10 days time! It is in great nic and the inside of this 54,000 mile car looks like new.

I wanted a decent quality TD estate for ease of transporting mountain bikes and other clobber - and had looked at the latest Passat and last gen Toyota Avensis...both tick that box but the former is quite expensive for what you get and the latter is not a very exciting drive. I then remembered the Octavia...

Having driven the Passat with the 140PS TDi engine I knew I could happily live with it - I need a little ooomph so that I don't nod off behind the wheel (I also plan to install a Tunit V-PD device as soon as possible to have it perform like or even better than the170PS :)

I won't be using the forums as a social chit chat spot but will no doubt have a few dumb questions for those who know the Octavia well - esp the four wheel drive system and its strengths / weaknesses.

Cheers for now!
