Hi guys, i bought a set of used coilovers for my octy vrs mk1.

unfortunately the fronts were covered in dry mud...iv cleaned them the best i can but i cant get the height adjustment rings to budge!

Any suggestions?

iv already tried spraying them with lots of plusgas/maintenance spray, but to no avail :(

im hoping i wont have to cut the rings off and buy new ones

Have you checked that there isnt a grub screw or 2 in the collar locking it in place? Failing that maybe wrap a rag round the collar and use a big pair stilsons
