i mean they cant sell stuff that dont work??

link1

and the other one is called turbo xs controller!

link has a 20v golf turbo with it done

Ahhhh its a bleed valve.

IIRC its a manual way of bypassing ECU controlled boost, if thats the case then it bypasses the safe guards (overboost protection).

Used to use these sorts of things on R5 turbo's etc to get the pressure up, best left on them cars IMHO.

They're a type of relief valve, you set a maximum allowable pressure and once that is achieved, it bleeds the rest off. Its a safety system. You can't get anymore pressure than the engine requests i.e. if your maximum boost is e.g. 10 psi, you could set it to bleed at 10 psi or below i.e. max or less. If you set it to e.g. 15 psi then it would do nothing as only 10psi max is generated.

Have a look around this site, there's some interesting ideas on it:

Ahh as long as its working with the factory system then cool.

Like I say we used to use these on purely wastegate contolled systems to up the boost pressure, tended to go pop..lol.

basicly the vrs would not work then?

as ecu would tell wastegate to open at 10psi!?

thanks for the replies
