Pulling to the left

Soon after picking my new 2005 Fabia VRS noticed car pulled left when steering wheel was released, so took car back to Skoda Dealer.

Mechanic gave it a 1/2hour once over and found nothing amiss.

He reported to me that it was torque drive/pull and was nothing to be alarmed about, and nothing can be done to eliminate.

He said the more the car is accelerated the more counter-pull on the steering will evident, I put this to the test and, was quite correct!!

All the tyres were brand new etc as car was brand new, and wear of anything could not be blamed.

Car has no scuffing on tyres and wear evenly, same with even braking, with car now 5 years old.

Have seen programmes with Jeremy Clarkson mentioning this torque pull on other cars he has tested, so can be a common trait.
