Bolero Bluetooth and Satnav

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a satnav unit which you can sync to the Bolero unit via Bluetooth so that you could here turn directions through the speakers?

I don't believe any will and also, even if you found one, you wouldn't be able to use the handsfree on the phone as the Skoda Bluetooth only communicates with 1 device at a time. Don't forget, the Bolero is only a front end to the bluetooth and does not actually have the bluetooth unit inside it.

I just ordered a Scout MY2011 for delivery in 3 months or so. If the Bolero is only the front end to the Bluetooth, what else will I need to enable hands-free Bluetooth functionality with my Blackberry?

Dave, i don't know of one via bluetooth, but the new Motorola ones can be wired into the quadlock connector on the back of the head unit -- turns down the volume of whatever you're playing through the speakers and overlays satnav. Very OEM, plus nice wee mount and hardwired power feed for the satnav. Pricey as heck though, £300+ notes not including fitting for satnav + wiring harness.

Simon, there's an extra option for bluetooth in the brochure. Doesn't work with iPhones though. Alternatively the "Fiscon Basic Plus" is another option but £300 for bluetooth is steep, v steep, but the unit is faultless.
