Well the umpteenth go at posting pics;

Our first stop on the lane. Drove up the lane with the window down. light coating of dust inside, easily removed with a clean yellow duster.

Note: On the way back the prevailing wind was blowing in to much dust to see, so window closed apart from a quick stop to eject an unwanted passenger, namely a very large hard case beetle emoticon-0124-worried.gif

Our second stop; would not have got my previous Golf V 4motion up here, to low to the ground for the boulders and ruts. A 2wd Yeti could most likely manage, although the 4x4 does give you that little extra confidence on this type of surface.

Note: did not resort to using the off-road function on PAT

Hi Macdemon,

not in the pic myself (camra oprator emoticon-0136-giggle.gif ) Freshacre is on the far side of the lane, Lady P and our host Llanigraham are discussing the map and walking towards the monsters is Parker. aero was off to my right out of shot also taking photo's.

Regards,

TP

Great pics again TP, really wished I'd come along now. Looks like a great route, will be first with my name down for the next for sure!

And you had had perfect weather for it too! Brilliant!

Though a muddy track might have made for some more outdoorsy looking Monsters! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

great pics....tp u reckon a 2wd would be ok there' as id be a defo for the next one( if mine ever arrives lol) :D

2 wheel drive would certainly cope in the dry, as although the track has a loose surface it is very solid underneath. In the wet there are a couple of spots that can get muddy, but I don't think it would be too much of a problem.

Nice pics.

I drove part way up that road 2 weeks ago, saw a black Yeti on my way there. That's as the only other Yeti I've seen, other than one that's local to us.

It's lovely countryside, beautiful scenery, helped by the Yetis of course.

Red looks very good, not seen that in the 'real world' but I think white really suits it. I have the Mochaccino, whatever it is, and it shows the urban muck a bit too easy, though I still like it. White is probably the best and if I ordered one now might well choose it.

All the roads near the Elan Valley are really great, really suit the Yeti's handling and quiet too, compared to the south east and west.

Stop telling everyone that, please????

We locals love it and want to keep it OUR secret!!
